Coming soon: a lineup of the characters created thus term all decked out in Ancient Greek regalia.  And I finally figured out moose antler configuration.  Here is a rough size comparison for my characters…

Have you ever seen a moose with grapes in his antlers?  Well, now you have.

PEI Hidden Beach

When my family goes to the beach… we don't just sit in one spot.  We walk forever along the coastline to see if we can find the end of a long stretch of beach.  The bonus to that is we never seem to meet a whole lot of people at the middle or far ends of the beach.  And then we walk back to the vehicles when we get hungry.  Golden hour is the best time of day to take pictures, by the way.  It makes everything look good.

Lonely Chair

This spot is about a 15 minute walk from grandma's house, and it makes a nice spot to launch a canoe or kayak… after you've had to drag it through the winding trail in the woods.  In the winter the trail is mostly used for snowshoeing (My uncles made their own snowshoes using a steam process to bend the wood.  the laces are covered with a waterproofing agent).

Dinosaur Sprinkles

I've had dinosaur cakes for two years in a row for my birthday.  The first one was more impressive; it was a stegosaurus cake and it had dinosaur candles, but I don't have a picture of it.  Mum might have a picture on her camera… but dinosaur sprinkles are the next best thing in this case.

Marilyn

A painting done of Marilyn Monroe… using a cross-hatching technique…

Plasticine Relief Picture

This is another project from last year in Art Fundamentals, one where we had to make a sculpture on a 2D surface.  It had to be somewhat believable when lit up with a desk lamp (the shadows had to be planned out in the beginning stages of the drawing part).  My inspiration came from National Geographic magazines.  I also had a running theme of dinosaurs...

How to Paint a T-Shirt

I want to tell you about the wonders of Freezer paper.  It work a little bit like tracing paper, and you can iron it to your clothes.  It will peel off with very little effort.  It is a most wonderful bit of creation, I applaud the inventor of such a thing.  I had to buy some expressly for this one project.  Thank you Youtube for your amazing cache of resourceful information as well… :D

How to Decorate a Bear-Pan Cake

One of the proud moments of last year's torrential projects… a 3D cake pan.  I had a tiny version of it, and I thought it would have been cool to make a dozen little rice kris pie bears decorated as various classmates.  Then I realized that it was a lot of work to do, and decided to do something less stressful.  Like a singular bear cake.  I decorated it as the League of Legends (Riot Games) side character Tibbers for the Annie champion, in the Panda Annie skin.  The icing got more melty by the end of it, so some fur bits have longer tufts.  Tibbers was delicious.  Om Nom Nom!
